Reasonix Video Tools · effective 27 August 2026
Reasonix Video Tools ("the app") is a self-hosted video editor operated by Reasonix for its own channels. It connects to YouTube, TikTok and X solely to publish videos that the operator explicitly chooses to publish.
What the app accesses
- Account identity — the display name and account/channel identifier of the connected account, used only to show which account a video will be posted to.
- Publishing permission — the ability to upload a video (and, where the platform supports it, a caption) to the connected account. The app never reads private messages, contacts, followers, or other users' data.
What is stored, and where
- OAuth access/refresh tokens are stored only on the operator's own computer, in a local credentials folder, and are used to authenticate uploads. They are never transmitted to any server other than the platform that issued them.
- Video files and captions are created locally by the operator and uploaded directly from that computer to the platform. No copies are sent to Reasonix servers or to any third party.
- The app keeps no analytics, logs, or databases about platform users.
Data sharing and sale
No data obtained from any platform is shared with, sold to, or used by any third party.
Data retention and deletion
Tokens remain until the operator disconnects the account in the app or deletes the local credentials file, at which point they are permanently removed. Access can also be revoked at any time from the platform's own connected-apps settings (YouTube: Google Account → Security → Third-party access; TikTok: Settings → Security → Manage app permissions; X: Settings → Security → Connected apps).
Children
The app is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.
